About Penny Eamer
Thanks for visiting my Portfolio.
- My practice incorporates a wide range of skills and mediums.
- A solid grounding in both art and photography has helped me to venture into other areas with ease. I am not someone who could stand to work with the same medium over and over for my entire life as I thrive on variety. Using the same basic skills in everything I do makes moving between mediums easy.
- I first studied art and design and then moved to a second art school to study photography full time for 2 years. Once qualified I worked in both fields, often in the same position. These included, medical photography and illustration, newspaper work, and freelance advertising and photojournalism. On moving to the bush, I turned full time to art and craft, selling, exhibiting, writing and teaching. From choice I seldom worked as a commercial photographer again and, retaining only my camera, sold all of my photographic equipment.
- I now have a digital camera which I use for art, craft and publishing.
- Having never been a highly competitive practitioner, I have usually done well when I have entered competitions and have had many solo and group exhibitions throughout Australia.
- I am driven to 'create' rather than to 'compete' and I like to remain free to do what I want, when I want . What more could I ask for ?
- I hope you enjoy viewing these images. Please feel free to contact me if you have any queries.
- I run a wide range of workshops and I am happy to travel. workshops can be designed, lengthened (or sometimes shortened) to meet your individual needs. For information see the 'Workshop' file.

- This portfolio is still under construction and will be for some time as I spend as little time as possible on the net and every spare moment in 'hands on' creation instead!
- One has to make a choice, consequently I'm always broke and I am seriously IT challenged ... the pay off is... I spend my entire life creating! Without creativity, life is no more than a dreary existence! Creativity give you wings.
